A wonderful bouquet that includes toasty scents of baked apple and baked pear and subtle aromas of brown sugar and marshmallow. There are delicious tastes of ripe apple and pear at palate entry; at midpalate the taste profile offers candied apple, cotton. Wine Enthusist January/2016. - This 15-year old from Chateau du Breuil has been one of the classic Pays d'Auge expressions since the 1970's. Light amber in color, the nose is full of bright floral notes of apple blossom and violet, and intense baking spice. On the palate, it is expansive and round, with warm apple strudel, and a touch of coffee and leather, but balanced by a fresh acidity and soft tannins that glide into a generous finish. Great example of a traditional style. (AOC Pays d'Auge, 41% abv.). November/2018 Vinus Media
