From 100% Montepulciano grapes, the wine is aged for 9/12 months in oak barrels and barrels; with an intense ruby red color, with purple hues, the nose recalls cherry, plum, berries and has a spicy finish. The flavor is fruity with evident notes of cherry, blackberry, berries. The name of the wine refers to the fantastic Villa dei Conti Malacari, built at the end of the 1600s, a real architectural jewel with a beautiful park in which there are centenary trees: cedars, pines and three different types of holm oak, one of which (ilex Quercuus) is considered the oldest holm oak in the entire Marche region, a tree at least 300 years old.
The 2017 Rosso Conero Villa Malacari smolders with a mix of black currants, smoky crushed stone and sage. It’s silky yet cool-toned, ushering in mineral-tinged red berry and violet inner florals. Grippy tannins linger as the Villa Malacari tapers off structured and almost salty in character.
