Francois Raveneau Chablis shows a fruit-forward, modern side with a bright, “sunny disposition” that makes it especially pleasant and approachable, as noted by wine critic Sarah Marsh. In this vintage, the pure character of Chardonnay takes center stage, shining a bit more than the classic mineral austerity Chablis is known for. Lively, generous, and irresistibly drinkable, it’s a perfect match for seafood, roast chicken, or simply enjoyed on its own when you’re in the mood for something fresh, joyful, and beautifully balanced.
Raveneau's village-level Chablis is a lovely, expressive wine with lemony fruit and a finely wrought mineral edge. The texture is fresh and crisp, but there is enough weight and heft to carry it through to an impressive finish. This wine should drink well soon after release, but it will continue to improve in the medium term. The grapes come from two parcels totalling 1.1ha – one on the back side of Montmains Premier Cru, the other at the base of Forêts Premier Cru, planted in the 1980s.
