From a parcel below Les Charmes that was planted in 1945, the 2022 Meursault La Vigne de 1945 is terrific, wafting from the glass with notes of pear, white flowers, hazelnut and beeswax, followed by a medium to full-bodied, dense and layered palate that marries a sweet core of fruit with chalky structuring extract to compelling effect.
