Dansk Mjod revives the traditional mead recipe from the 1700s by using 100% natural, additive-free ingredients, with honey being the key ingredient. The recipe has been elevated with the addition of dried hibiscus, providing not only a gorgeous color but also a delicate floral scent. This artisanal metheglin-style Danish mead has a unique blend of hibiscus and hops, creating a soft, citrusy flavor and a wonderfully floral aroma. The hoppy-dry, spicy finish is warming and inviting. With an alcohol content of 19% ABV, Dansk Mjod makes for a great aperitif when served slightly chilled in a wine glass or over ice with fruit in a port wine glass. It's also a delicious dessert wine or winter warmer. To enjoy it as a warm beverage, simply heat the liquid without boiling and serve in a mug.
