Peirano Estate Description
Experience the exquisite symphony of flavors found in Peirano Estate Chardonnay. This unique white wine, hailing from our Lodi Appellation estate, is the result of a meticulous dual-harvest technique and careful hand-picking. Half of the fruit is harvested in mid to late August to preserve firm acidity, while the rest is picked three to four weeks later when the grapes are rich in natural sugars. The result is a harmonious balance of sweetness and acidity in every bottle.
Our Chardonnay is skillfully aged in French and American oak barrels, a fifteenth of which are new wood. Following fermentation, lees stirring every fortnight allows the wine to develop complexity and structure. This painstaking process prepares our Chardonnay to be perfectly enjoyable upon release, while also possessing the potential to mature elegantly for years in the bottle.
A pour of Peirano Estate Chardonnay entices with its vibrant hue and an immediate burst of scents, encapsulating fresh-picked Asian pears, ripe Meyer lemons, pineapple, and lemon curd. These lively notes are beautifully intertwined with subtle whispers of honeysuckle and butterscotch.
