A second wine typical of Pauillac by Grand-Puy-Lacoste
Located in the heart of the Pauillac appellation on the left bank of Bordeaux, Chateau Grand-Puy-Lacoste produces one of the most representative wines of the appellation. Lacoste-Borie is the second wine of the estate.
The Grand Puy Lacoste vineyard represents 90 hectares of vines planted on deep gravel outcroppings. 60 hectares are planted all in one piece. The vines used to produce Lacoste-Borie are younger than those used for the First Wine of Grand-Puy-Lacoste, but are cultivated with the same care.
A vivacious , quite floral bouquet that bursts from the glass, featuring raspberry, rooibos and black current aromas, The palate is medium bodied with good concentration, a little spicier and softer in the finish, yet with good length and harmony
The 2019 Lacoste-Borie is a wine of immense charm. Wafting from the glass with aromas of cassis, licorice and sweet spices, loamy soil and cigar wrapper, it’s medium to full-bodied, fleshy and seamless, with ripe tannins, succulent acids and a round, giving profile.
