Hubert Lignier Description

The “Les Chaffots” vineyard sits on one of the most elite sites in Morey Saint Denis, immediately above the Grand Cru “Clos Saint Denis”. The Ligniers own 0.60 hectare. Now that the vines have taken on a certain age (28 years as of 2012), this wine has begun to show the immense power and complexity that its terroir offers.

A mix of high-toned essence of red berries with floral and earth scents gives way to sleek and delicious but not especially dense flavors possess an almost delicate mouthfeel, all wrapped in a vibrant and sneaky long finish despite the presence of a slight dryness that's not enough to really compromise the balance.
