Boyer Martenot Description

The Boyer Martenot Les Tillets Meursault is a wine that embodies the perfect harmony between nature and craftsmanship. This certified organic wine is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes that are carefully harvested from the highest altitude section of Meursault, above the 1er Crus. Standing tall at over 300 meters above sea level, the vines bask in the pure, unadulterated sunlight that is so critical to producing exceptional grapes.

These exceptional grapes come from vines that are over 70 years old, with roots that delve deep into the rich clay-limestone soil. The soil's unique composition gives the Boyer Martenot Les Tillets Meursault a rare depth of flavor, with a nuanced complexity that is difficult to find in other wines.

But it's not just the grapes and the soil that make this wine so exceptional. The winemakers use only indigenous yeast, allowing the natural flavors and aromas to fully express themselves. The wine is then fermented and aged in barrels for 12 months, with 20% of the barrels being new, giving the wine a rich, complex character that develops over time.

But the winemakers didn't stop there. To further enhance the wine's unique qualities, they also aged a portion of the wine in concrete eggs for 8 months. The concrete eggs allow the wine to breathe, producing a wine that is both fresh and vibrant, yet still complex and refined.

The result is a wine that is truly unique and compelling. The Boyer Martenot Les Tillets Meursault is a wine that embodies the perfect balance of nature and craftsmanship, showcasing the full potential of organic winemaking. With its exceptional quality, depth of flavor, and nuanced complexity, it is a wine that is sure to impress even the most discerning of wine connoisseurs.

Staff Rated: 94 Points

The wine presents aromas of white peaches, light honey, and crushed stones, with a silky, medium-bodied, and refined palate the lingers in a long, spiced finish, making it an ideal pairing for rich seafood or shellfish, roasted pork, or aged French chesses. - winery
