| We sourced the grapes from our Paris Valley Ranch in San Lucas and the Ventana Vineyard in Arroyo Seco. Paris Valley Ranch is located in a deep canyon with ideal, well-draining soils and protection from Monterey Bay’s steady winds. These grapes add delicious melon and grapefruit character to the wine. The Ventana Vineyard, located where the Arroyo Seco River leaves the Santa Lucia Mountains, has soils scattered with river stones known as "Greenfield potatoes.” Almost impossible to cultivate, yet fostering exceptional grapes, this cooler location adds complex minerality and green-apple notes to the wine. |
