This unique Auchentoshan Lowland Single Malt Whisky has been matured in three different cask types. Moving from American Bourbon to Spanish Oloroso Sherry - and finally Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks - Three Wood is a rich, complex whisky with incredible toffee and sherry oak flavours.
| Tasting notes |
| Auchentoshan Three Wood is a complex malt with lotsof depth that derives much of its flavor and aroma from the sherry oak casks in which it finishes its maturation. Fans of scotch and sherry alike should give this spirit a look, and though it’s certainly not a starter scotch, it’s a good foray into whiskies with sherry/port/Madeira finishes. |

Ultimate Beverage Challenge 94 points (Mar 2012) A complex nose of toasted malt, dates and figs with a prominent sweet sherry quality. The palate is soft and semi-lush with sherry sweetness, nutmeg, allspice, and dried fruits. A beautiful malt wide wide appeal. |
