| Technical notes |
| Auchroisk, pronounced Auch Roysk, means 'ford of the red stream'. The distillery is on the main road between Craigellachie and Keith. The site at which Auchroisk is situated was subject to extensive testing before the distillery was built in 1973 and water from Dories Well was tankered to Glen Spey distillery to be used in a week long trial. Glen Spey was used for the trials as they wanted to re-create its style at Auchroisk. Up until the turn of the Millenium the whisky was marketed as the Singleton of Auchroisk at 10 years old, however this bottling has now been withdrawn from the market and replaced by a 10 year old Auchroisk Flora and Fauna bottling.
