| From Sagaponack, NY, this is eons from the coventional Applewine. Fermented with local fruit, the result is a superbly-balanced, refreshing example of what can be achieved without oenological produce. Tart, racy and supple, it is anything but sweet, and caters wonderfully to grilled meats and assorted cheese plates. A slight off-beat character suggests notes of honeycomb and jasmine, but regardless, this is always a fantastic experience. (Wine Director: 92 Points) |
