| This is a sparkling Bonarda from Oltrepo Pavese in the Lombardy region of Italy that’s referred to as: The Blood of Judas, but do not worry, there is no deception here. This is a reasonably-priced, sweet frizzante red that is packed with cola notes, crushed strawberries and raspberry sauce. What is even more appealing is the price compared to say, Lambrusco, or Brachetto, which can be somewhat delineating in comparison. My favorite sparkling red at this time. (Wine Director 91 Points) |
