| This exceptional effort may be among the finest Verdicchios I have ever tasted. A complex white, it displays layers of fruit (lovely-ripe apricots and white peaches) in its provocative perfume. In the mouth, it offers great freshness, layers of minerality, medium-to-full body, and formidable intensity yet not heavy. A TOUR de FORCE in white wine making, especially from this region, it will not make old bones, but there is plenty of power (13.5% alcohol) beneath the finesse. Once again I was blown away by the quality of this wine I tasted. 5,000 CASES. |
