Grapes for our Sauvignon Blanc are sourced from vineyards in northern Israel’s coastal plain region. This area enjoys a warm climate and benefits from the moderating influences of the neighboring mountains and Mediterranean Sea.
Tasting notes
The Recanat's aroma is one of grapefruit and tropical fruits with shades of passion fruit and green apple. This crispy, fruity Sauvignon is made from grapes grown in a single vineyard in the Upper Galilee and hand-harvested during September, 2008. The grapes were brought to the winery in the early hours of the morning and were immediately crushed and chilled.
Wine maker notes
Hand harvested at optimal ripeness, grapes are immediately crushed and chilled. A brief period of skin contact is allowed before pressing. After separation from the lees, the juice undergoes slow fermentation at a cool temperature to capture and preserve fresh aromas and flavors.
Food pairing
Outstanding with fish, sushi, risotto and grilled vegetables.
